Terms of service
Agreement and who we are
T4BL is a software platform for live poker rooms. These terms are an agreement between you and T4BL about your use of the software. They cover the player app (the web app at player.t4bl.com and the native iOS and Android builds T4BL provides to a club’s members), the staff console used by club staff, and this website.
Separately, each club you join is its own organisation with its own house rules. Those rules and your arrangements with the club are between you and the club. These terms do not replace them.
The service
T4BL connects a player’s phone to the floor, the cage and the kitchen of a poker room: waitlists and seat offers, seating, chip requests, running balances, cashout requests, food and drink orders, and a chat line to the club’s hospitality staff. Club staff use the console to run those same operations from their side.
T4BL is software. It is not the club and it is not a bank. In particular, T4BL does not:
- operate any game — play happens in person, at a table in a club’s room, under the club’s rules;
- take wagers or hold a stake in any hand;
- hold your money or act as a bank — cash is handed to and received from the club’s cage;
- process card payments, bank transfers or cryptocurrency — there is no payment gateway in the service.
What the service does is record: who is seated where, what was bought in, what was returned, what a club and its members owe each other, and who did what.
Eligibility and accounts
Membership is by invitation. A club adds you — through its admin, or by registering you when you walk in — and you claim the account in the app. A limited self-registration path exists but still requires a club to accept you. Clubs offer membership to adults eligible to play under the rules that apply to that club and its location; the club is responsible for checking that before admitting you. The service is not directed at children.
Your account works like this:
- One phone number is one account. You may not hold more than one, or use someone else’s.
- You are signed in on one device at a time. Signing in on a new device retires the previous one.
- Keep your device and your transaction PIN secure. Actions taken from your signed-in device, or confirmed with your PIN or biometrics, are treated as yours.
- Keep your contact details accurate. Optional email and Telegram details are not verified.
- Your display name is fixed once set. Choose one you are willing to be known by at the table.
- Phone number changes are made by a club admin, not from the app.
Club staff sign in with a personal phone number and PIN and act under the role their club assigns them. Staff accounts belong to the club that employs them.
Your club relationship
The club sets the stakes, the games, the house rules, the seat-offer timeouts and any credit it extends. The club decides who is seated, who is served, and how much credit a member or a sponsor may extend to someone below them in the sponsor chain.
Money you owe, or are owed, is between you and the club or between you and your sponsor (the agent or handler who vouched for you), depending on how the club has set the chain. T4BL records those positions as pairwise accounts; it is not a party to them and does not guarantee them.
Credit limits are agreed per event and per relationship by the sponsor or the club. A buy-in that would take you past your limit is blocked by the software; it is not a judgement about you, it is the limit the club or your sponsor has set.
Every cashout requires approval by a club admin before it is paid. A cashout can be paid in cash at the cage or marked as a digital payout. For a digital payout the service records the amount only; it does not move funds and stores no payment details. How and when the club pays is between you and the club.
Rakeback and commission deals are agreed with the club and recorded in the service. The service applies them as recorded; the terms of the deal are the club’s.
Money records and disputes
Your balance is derived from an append-only ledger. Entries are never edited or deleted; when something needs correcting, a new entry is added and both remain visible. This is what makes the record trustworthy, and it also means the record is a record — it shows what was entered, by whom and when.
Chip requests made from your seat are approved at the cage and delivered by a runner. When you leave a table, the chips in your hand become a collectible that the cage counts and settles to your balance. The cage’s count is authoritative, and a discrepancy against the floor’s preliminary count is recorded with a reason. If you believe it is wrong, raise it with the club; any correction the club makes is entered as a new ledger entry, never by editing the old one.
Any dispute about a balance, a buy-in, a payout or a deal is a matter for the club. T4BL can show the record; it does not adjudicate between a member and a club.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- share your sign-in codes, PIN or signed-in device with anyone, or use another person’s account;
- attempt to bypass a credit limit, an approval step, a role restriction or a rate limit;
- scan, copy or present a QR pass that is not your own;
- probe, scrape, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or interfere with other members’ use of it;
- use the chat or ordering features to harass, threaten or defraud anyone;
- use the service for anything unlawful in the place where you are using it.
Club staff also agree to act only within the role assigned to them and to treat member information as confidential. Every action in the console is written to an immutable audit trail.
Content and photos
You may add a profile photo, chat messages, order notes and ratings. You keep ownership of what you add. You give T4BL and the clubs you belong to permission to store and show it as needed to run the service: your photo to staff and to members at your table, your messages to the hospitality staff of that club, your ratings to the club.
Only upload a photo of yourself, and only content you have the right to share. Do not post anyone else’s personal details. A club may remove content that breaks its rules or these terms.
Availability, changes and suspension
We aim to keep the service available whenever a club is open, but we do not promise uninterrupted operation. Maintenance, connectivity problems and provider outages happen. When the service is unavailable, the club runs its room by its own means and reconciles the record afterwards.
We may change, add or remove features. Where a change affects how your balance or your data is handled, we will update these terms or the privacy policy and tell you in the app.
A club may suspend or remove your membership under its own rules. T4BL may suspend an account that breaches these terms, that is being used to attack the service, or where the law requires it. Suspension does not erase the money record; what you and the club owe each other remains as recorded.
Intellectual property
The apps, the console, this website and everything in them that we created — code, design, text and marks — belong to T4BL. You may use them only as these terms allow. You may not copy, modify, redistribute or build on them without our written agreement. Club names, logos and menus belong to the clubs that provide them.
Disclaimers
The service is provided as it is. To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranty that it will be error-free, uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose. The service records what staff and members enter into it; it does not verify that a club has followed its own rules, that a count was accurate, or that a deal was fair. Notifications depend on your device, your network and third-party push services, and may be delayed or fail to arrive; a missed seat offer is handled under the club’s rules.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, T4BL is not liable for losses at the table, for amounts owed between you and a club or a sponsor, for a club’s decisions or its handling of your money, or for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Termination and erasure
You can stop using the service at any time. To delete your account, open Profile in the app and choose delete. Deletion is immediate and irreversible: your personal details are removed or anonymised, your devices and QR pass are retired, and your phone number becomes free to register again. Financial amounts and the account’s internal identifier are retained so that the club’s books still balance, along with a one-way hash of your phone number used only to keep records consistent. Profile photos are not yet removed by deletion; remove yours from your profile first if you want it gone. The full list is in the privacy policy.
Deleting your account does not cancel what you owe a club or what a club owes you. Settle with the club before you delete if you want that closed cleanly.
Governing law and disputes
The governing law and venue for disputes will be stated here once confirmed.
Disputes about a club’s room, its staff, your balance or a payout go to the club first; see Money records and disputes. If a dispute with T4BL arises, contact us and we will try to resolve it directly before either side takes it further.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, the date at the top changes and, for changes that matter, the app will point you to the new version. If you keep using the service after a change takes effect, the updated terms apply. If you do not agree with a change, stop using the service and delete your account from the app.
Contact
For account matters, including deletion, use the Profile screen in the app. For anything about a specific club, contact the club.
